King Harald presenting the War Cross with Sword (Norway's highest ranking medal of honour) to Lt Commander Ken Andersen of the Norwegian Navy during a Medal Presentation event at the Liberation and Veterans Day on May 8th at the Akershus Fortress in Oslo.

A number of Norwegian soldiers were honoured for their efforts in Norwegian foreign operations and 11 others also received a medal for their efforts in Gorazde Bosnia in 1995. Four received the Armed Forces Rosette medal while the other seven received the Armed Forces intervention medal.

Lt-Gen Jonathon Riley and Defense Minister Ine Eriksen Soreide were present during the award ceremony.
